QUESTION

What can I do about being assaulted by a bouncer?

Asked on Apr 11th, 2021 on Litigation - Florida
More details to this question:
At a bar playing a games of pool with another customer and out of nowhere, with no good reason to elicit a conflict, says something to a employee(/bouncer?) that causes them to come over to me and demand it’s time for me to leave. I asked why and with no explanation, grabs ahold of me a forcefully pulls me out the back door and as it’s happening I repeatedly request that he lets me go, and that I can walk myself. He do no such thing and continues to drag me out, then putting me over a line railing (being that I’m light). Being assaulted and mistreated by the bars staff I want to know what can be done in regards to filing a formal complaint and even a law suit.

Having handled many such cases in the past, I will be candid that both you and I know there is MUCH more to the story than that. That aside, if there is a lawsuit to be filed, its not one any coherent lawyer will take on a contingent fee, so you would have to be willing to spend the money out of pocket on legal fees to pursue such a case.
