What can I do if the father's wife won't allow visitation?

More details to this question:
My stepmom's father had a stroke and his wife won't allow my stepmother to see her father. Is there anything she can do to see him? He has no clue what is going on and is being taken advantage of.

Find out what hospital rules are. What would happen if she just showed up? What if she were to find out when her stepmother wasn't there, and then showed up?

Your mom could move to be her father's guardian. I suggest she consult with a local attorney to figure out whether she has a legitimate chance to do that. It may very likely be expensive.
