QUESTION

What can I legally do about my PayPal problems?

Asked on Feb 14th, 2013 on Litigation - South Carolina
More details to this question:
I recently made a PayPal transaction from my debit card in my personal acct to my business account because my debit card in personal account quit working so I transferred the money to a business PayPal debit card in my business acct to allow access of my funds through a ATM. They restricted both accounts and said I may have done something against their policy I'm afraid I don't really understand their policy as written and need someone to help me understand what's going on before I go call them and say something that will make it worse.

You should set up a consult with an attorney who does transactional and/or contract work. You should obtain a copy of the policy for which Paypal maintains you violated prior to your consult.

You could consult a lawyer with the document(s) and ask him or her for a professional opinion. Or you could just contact the bank or Paypal and ask them what their policies are, and to send you a copy of anything in writing. You don't have to speak very much, and you need not say that you have a problem or what its nature it. If you have signed an agreement, you are entitled to a copy of the agreement and whatever regulations implement it.

Get a copy of the policy and have a lawyer or someone who you think may be smarter than you in this kind of thing read the policy and advise you. I wish I could help, but I would need to read the policy.
