what happens if i refuses to pay a promissory note..

More details to this question:
i worked in a casino restaurant dep over the years i stole money from restaurant . when they cot me i confess in writing that i did it .know the casino wants their money back & want me 2 sign a promissory note saying i will pay $25000 in 1 year .if i sign that promissory not & some reason i am not able 2 pay them the amount in 1 year than what will happen 2 me .would i go 2 jail or what please help me with the answer

Your best course of action would be to negotiate a full and final release of claims with your employer under a settlement agreement which you can in good faith fulfill.  The Settlement Agreement should provide a default provision which protects both sides' rights but ensures that nothing deleterious happens to you.
