QUESTION

What kind of lawyer do I need?

Asked on Jul 15th, 2020 on Civil Litigation - Indiana
More details to this question:
I was evicted from a property without give me a proper 30 days notice after living there for 6 months. The reason for that was because I wanted to pay them less than $200 a week so that way I can afford to move out of their house. There was never written agreement over bills, rent, anyting. Now they're withholding me from my property totaling over $2,400 including a $315 TV, a $900 custom built computer, a $400 Xbox One original console, two Siamese cats where one of them is a Ragdoll Siamese which goes up to $2,000, as well as various other knick-knacks. The day that I was removed the property they even told the police officers at Silver Spring Maryland that I could come back and retrieve my belongings when I got a vehicle but when I did return to the property with vehicle they would not let me claim my property. I would have processed this through the criminal court system of Rockville Maryland and Tawana Holland and the mediator drop the case without even telling me why.

Contact an attorney near you that handles landlord and tenant disputes. It sounds like you live out of Indiana, so if your local attorney decides that an Indiana attorney is needed for the case they should be able to hire someone to assist.
