QUESTION

What legal actions can I take?

Asked on Jan 25th, 2021 on Civil Litigation - Michigan
More details to this question:
My father passed away in 2004. My sister was in charge of his affairs and I was led to believe that he had very few assets and that most of his money was going toward his care. I assumed that his will and finances were properly managed. I have since found out that at his passing, my father had an estate worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. My sister never filed his will and kept his assets to herself.

You can sue your sister for breach of fiducairy duty and fraud, but you may have problems circumventing the statute of limitations given that this all happened 15 years ago.
