What will happen if you are stopped for tint violation and given a citation?

More details to this question:
I had three 16 year olds in the car on our way to a High School Powerpuff Game in Pensacola. They were not aware of the law. They were asked for their age and name and all names were called in to the dispatcher. Stop was over 20 minutes.
