QUESTION

When does the clock start for initiating a malpractice suit for legal incompetence (in Texas)

Asked on Jan 25th, 2014 on Civil Litigation - Texas
More details to this question:
My daughter lost a civil case on Nov. 1, 2013 and wants to sue her lawyer for malpractice. I have found the time frame is 2 years, but I am trying to find out when the 2 year period starts, from the last date of trail? the date the relationship is severed? the date a specific infraction? The case is now in the appellate stage, but a settlement may be negotiated. I would appreciate any input you can give me.
