QUESTION

Who can serve a summons complaint and a right to possession?

Asked on Dec 28th, 2015 on Litigation - California
More details to this question:
To serve a summons complaint and right to possession, do I have to hire a sheriff or registered process server? My daughter is willing to serve all three papers. There is only one person named who rented it but I see another car there. Does she have to hand it also to who ever else is in there or just the tenant all three papers?
