who pays for water damage in a condo?

More details to this question:
Water from my 2nd floor condo came thru ceiling on first floor. We cant find the leak. It happened only one time. I have a tenant in 2nd floor unit. The water may have come from over filled bath tub. There is no visual damage. Downstairs wants us to pay for new ceiling and light and have inspected for mold.

Yep. Sounds like your responsibility. Hopefully this wil be covered by your homeowners insurance or the renters insurance yourequired the tenant to get.
