QUESTION

Will I be able to file a civil claim?

Asked on Feb 12th, 2014 on Civil Litigation - Texas
More details to this question:
My ex fiance, who I have a child with, traded in my vehicle and his vehicle to get me a newer and larger vehicle back in October. He kicked me and my children out of the house in November and left me with no means of transportation. Is there any way he can be held responsible for at least giving me the financial portion for what the dealership gave him for the vehicle that we traded in that was under my name? He currently has the vehicle that he bought for me and it is only under his name.

Yes, and if the amount is under $10k, you can file in small claims court where you do not need to hire an attorney. Glad to discuss further.
