QUESTION

Will I still have a ticket for the marijuana or am I now off the hook?

Asked on Oct 08th, 2013 on Litigation - Utah
More details to this question:
I was pulled over for failure to have headlights on and my car was searched after the officer smelled marijuana. I admitted to it. I was mailed a notice to appear before traffic court for the lights charges but the ticket says nothing about the marijuana.

What is on the ticket doesn't determine what ultimately is filed against you.

That is up to the prosecutor. The prosecutor can still choose whether or not to charge you. If you are charged, hire a lawyer immediately.
