QUESTION

Will it stay on a persons record when a restraining order ends?

Asked on Jun 28th, 2013 on Litigation - Nevada
More details to this question:
My son filed a restraining order against me some time ago. The case has long since passed and the judge has since then canceled the order of restraint. I would like to know if this will continuously stay on my record as the order was AGAINST me or if it will vanish from my record? Thank you.

It is not a criminal matter so it is not on any criminal record.

Yes, it stays on you record. Worst is that any time a police runs a background check on you and sees the restraining order, they will assume you are confrontational and will use force first and ask questions afterwards.
