Will my claim be liable enough to begin a civil suit?

I opened my home to someone that was kicked out of their home, with an verbal agreement that she would pay half of the rent. She was there for two weeks before my money started coming up missing. I kicked her out and also asked for my half of the rent but she left and said that she wasnt going to pay for anything, even the money that was stolen from me.
