QUESTION

Can an ER doctor be sued ?

Asked on May 19th, 2017 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
On Nov 25th 2016 I went to the ER with back pain. The ER doctor said it was "sciatic", no imaging of my back was taken. I was sent home with pain and muscle relaxer pills. Three days later, while at work, I was jarred and the pain became so bad I could hardly walk. The next morning, I could not walk, had foot drop, and found that my L5 disk was pushing out so far it was crushing my spinal cord. Can the ER doctor be held responsible, for not taking any images? I feel, if he had, I could have been made aware of the disk starting to push out and been able to avoid the situation I am in now
