can i file malpractice on my deceased fathet behalf

More details to this question:
My father was going for a biopsy of his liver the day after dialysis and I was told after the procedure my father called for his nurse because his stomach was hurting an by the time she got there his heart stopped but they say his stomach had blood in it and he wouldn't stop bleeding its jus to many stories coming from the nurse's
