QUESTION

Can I sue for nerve damage caused in surgery?

Asked on Mar 21st, 2018 on Medical Malpractice - Tennessee
More details to this question:
I had a radical hysterectomy in May 2017 and have had difficulty walking, pain and difficultly having bowel movements, which has caused me to gain 25 lbs. in just a few months. I’ve always been very athletic and skinny, so the extreme change in weight and not being able to do as much as I used to be able to is very depressing. I had a colonoscopy done just a few weeks ago to see if there was another underlying issue causing the weight gain and the Dr. said my colon looked fine and believed my problem was due to nerve damage.

Sorry, I wish that I could give you some sound advice but a medical malpractice action is a mixture of medicine and law. I know the law portion but not the medical issue. You will need to speak with an attorney in your area.
