QUESTION

Can I take action for malpractice

Asked on Feb 21st, 2021 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
My mom was in Winter Haven , Fl hospital , it started on December 21 . She had a small stroke called a TIA . They observed her for 24 hrs then sent her home . She went back in the hospital on Dec. 24 because of the stroke . They did a cat scan and it revealed a blood clot in a vein or artery in her head. Sent her home . Christmas day she was back in the hospital for the same thing they admitted her. They did a MRI and before they did that they gave her Ativan she was claustrophobic. She had a bad reaction. She was there for about a week . It turns out it was not a bleed . They did what they could and sent her to Palm Garden rehabilitation Center. I do believe this center did not take good care of her . I visited her and she had dried blood and black colored tongue and inside her mouth . I have pictures . She also had several bed sores ( I got picks ). They didn't take very good care of her .

Hi Terri, I'm sorry to hear about what has been happening with your mother, however more information is needed to determine viability for a potential case against multiple medical providers. A Medical Malpractice Attorney can assist you in exploring these issues by interviewing you in depth and reviewing your mother's medical records prior to sending them out for review by the appropriate medical experts. Consequently, if you are interested in consulting with one of us, you will have to reach out, as attorneys are unable to directly solicit on this forum. Do not delay, as the Statute of Limitation for bringing a Medical Malpractice lawsuit is relatively short given the complexity involved in such cases.
