can you sue a Dr, for a botched job from Mohs surgery

More details to this question:
went for mohs surgery in may 2012 for a small basil cell removal on the side of my nose.was back to the dr. in june ,july.and august.Have been left with a sizeable hole in my nose and a piece of my nostril cut off.on my last visit in Aug I ask the Dr, what was going to be done to correct this and was told I don,t know by Dr
