QUESTION

Do I have a case?

Asked on Aug 17th, 2017 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
I was recently incarcerated for about a month in the Infirmary unit because I was and still am pregnant. Besides being pregnant I also have asthma which I've had since I was a baby and have always required medications for it. During the first few weeks of my stay I was denied medications and left struggling to breath for hours at a time so I could not eat because i could not walk to get my meals and no one would bring them to me and lost over 12 lbs I could not use restroom so I urinated myself at times but drank very little as well to avoid this happening and I was unable to take showers because i could not walk far due to breathing issues. The nurses would simply put the monitor on my finger and say my oxygen levels were fine and basically called me a liar but never tried listening to my lungs. I also have mental issues such as depression, anxiety and PTSD and the nurses kept blaming my breathing on my mental health. Alot more but not enough space to fit all the details of my ordeal.

"I also have mental issues such as depression, anxiety and PTSD and the nurses kept blaming my breathing on my mental health." and there is the elephant in the room. You will need to have a psychiatrist and/or a doctor back this up. Otherwise your post absolutley suggests either a mental health disorder or an inmate working the prison system for infirmary time or contrived claims and won't get anywhere past that absent some other compelling evidence.
