Do I have a case?

More details to this question:
I broke a bone in my right foot on treadmill during heart stress test,. This occurred on February 8th of this year. After a trip to the emergency room and three visits to the foot and ankle doctor they have just now found out what was causing the pain in my right ankle area. Do i have basis for a claim?

You may have a claim here, depending on the facts of your experience particularly during the stress test. Your doctor/staff/hospital would have had a duty of care that must have been met. Whether they did meet that standard would depend on the care provided during that visit. For example, if a reasonable doctor would not have allowed for the treadmill to be brought to the speed at which you were tested, then the duty of care was not met. The office would has have been required to provide you with informed consent regarding all testing.
