Asked on Dec 07th, 2015 on Medical Malpractice - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My spouse had 2 mini strokes/TIA episodes and was admitted each time to the hospital for a few days.He was put on high blood pressure meds and blood thinners and monitored in the hospital, but when they discharged him, he had a full stroke the very next morning. He was taking the medicine exactly as prescribed. All of this, including the 2 mini strokes happened over the course of about 1-1/2 weeks.

Obviously, if your husband had a serious stroke within days of his discharge you have good reason to question whether he received thorough and appropriate care. To know whether you have a viable cause of action, an attorney will have to secure the pertinent medical records and eventually have them evaluated by an expert.  Below are some articles you may find helpful.  Click here for an article that explains what you can and should expect when pursuing a medical malpractice case.  Click here, here  and here for more information about me. I am not doing anything to protect any legal rights that you have.  Medical malpractice cases need to be thoroughly investigated and to know whether you have a viable case, an attorney usually has to obtain and review all of the pertinent medical records and consult an expert.  John Ratkowitz, Esq. 105 Eisenhower Parkway Roseland, NJ 07068 Office: (973) 830-8441 Cell: (732) 616-6278 Fax: (973) 226-0031 Email: jratkowitz@starrgern.com.  Click here for my website.
