QUESTION

do i have a case for dental malpractice?

More details to this question:
I was incarcerated for 20 months in the PA Department of Corrections when I had dental work done.I was suppose to have a root canal done on tooth #5 but instead the dentist just filled the cavity causing a serious infection.I requested treatment many times and was told that I would be seen to correct the problem but after a couple of months I was never treated. Two days before my release the infection spread to my face causing serious pain and i was released like that.Because of my situation I was unable to get the proper treatment i needed until the end of February and state assistance will not cover the work i need done.I have been suffering for 4 months now and I have been unable to work because of this situation.I never had these problems before that dentist worked on me and i should have not been released in the condition I was in.I have been through alot of pain and suffering over the last 4 months and it is because of the negligence of the PA Department of Corrections.

It certainly sounds like you have reason to investigate a malpractice case, although your case might not be economically viable because your damages presumably will be decreased when you finally get the appropriate care. Contact a local malpractice attorney and speak with him.
