QUESTION

Do I have a medical malpractice case?

More details to this question:
My mother who is 83 years old, had brain surgery on August 27,2015 and was totally abandoned by her neurosurgeon, Dr. Megison. He released her from the hospital 2days after surgery without seeing her or talking with the family. His physician assistant released her. She collapsed 2days after we took her home and was taken by ambulance to Skyridge where she was completely out of it for 16 days. Dr. Megison was notified of her condition and he did NOT want to see her or have her sent back to Erlanger so he could take care of her. It has now been 10 months since her surgery and her surgeon NEVER gave her any post op care. Absolutely none! She had to relearn everything and still struggles every day with health issues related to this doctors negligence. I can't imagine this is legal. Because of his total disregard of my mother she will never be the same.

I am sorry but this is a really complicated question that can not be answered in this forum because there are more medical issues involved than legal issues. I can only suggest that you might need to consult with a medical practice attorney who be able to better guide you.
