QUESTION

Do I have grounds for a medical malpractice suit.

More details to this question:
I had a fraxel laser facial cosmetic procedure that resulted in a serious infection of my face and I believe burns which included ulcers on my eye lids. I underwent 1 week of intravenous antibiotics on an outpatient basis. I also was on oral antibiotics and antibiotic ointments for 4 weeks. It has been 5 weeks since my procedure and I still have scars. I have taken photos throughout the process and notes of what treatments I have been given (medications etc). Do I have any legal recourse against the physician and or manufacturer of the laser. I am still under medical care of the dermatologist who performed the procedure. She had never seen a reaction like mine and even sent me to an infectious disease MD for consultation and well as consulting with the manufacturer of the laser. All my tests came back within the normal range of bacteria for the face. I don't know what the final outcome as to how my face will finally heal and if other procedures may be necessary.

Possibly. Med-Mal cases are VERY expensive and complicated. You need to actually hire a lawyer ASAP to examine the issues.
