QUESTION

Do we have a case?

Asked on Jun 25th, 2019 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
Had a heart attack during dialysis, taken to local hospital on Feb 4. On Feb 7, I was told that I had 2 blockages that needed to be addressed. They would take care of one that was 95% blocked by inserting 2 stents that day but would have to return for the one which was 70% blocked. I am a Veteran and went to the VA to have the second one done on Mar 8. The VA had gotten the report from the local hospital (LH) however, what they found when they went in did not match that report. Vessels that LH said were patten were not and those they said were occluded were not. There was nothing they could do as the blockage was totally occluded. I have multiple health issues and this problem will have an adverse affect on improving my health, interferes with my quality of life, and puts an increased burden on my family, emotionally, physically and financially.

I am sorry to hear about the ordeal which you have suffered. The answer to your question can only be sought by request and review of your medical records to determine if the standard of care was breached and if that breach caused you serious and permanent injuries. You will have to reach out, as attorneys are unable to directly solicit on this forum. Do not delay, as the Statute of Limitation in general (there are exceptions) for bringing a Medical Malpractice lawsuit can run as early as 2 years from the date of the medical error(s).
