QUESTION

Do we have a solid case?

Asked on Nov 09th, 2018 on Medical Malpractice - New York
More details to this question:
My son was born at 36 weeks and could not regulate his blood sugar. His sugar water was raised regularly for 3 days to help maintain a normal blood sugar but he never had a blood test done to check his electrolytes and on day 3 he suffered seizures due to critically low sodium and he also had a critical potassium level. He was sent via air ambulance to Boston and spent 2 weeks there. He was tested by endocrinologists and all his organs and glands are normal. He had a spinal tap done and all infectious diseases were also ruled out. This is when he was finally diagnosed with a fluid overload done by hospital or doctor error. Iatrogenic fluid overload to be specific on the diagnosis wording. His seizures have left some brain damage and he requires physical therapy for walking and may need help with his speech. I just want to know if I should pay money to take this further. Thank you.
