My breast have been swollen and pretty numb the whole time and I'm just starting to get feeling back. I have sutures I was told I believe and was told everything will dissolve. I've been having a lot of itching going on at the incision areas and around areola where I can also feel the stitches and knots they tied while rubbing and area between my breast that was not evening sewn right and has been bothering me for a few days I was poked. I did again and there is something hard and pokey like a hard piece of plastic or a needle right in between my breast behind the stitching. Was going to go get an xray tomorrow to see if I'm imaging things but if I press on it, it pokes out my skin and feel like its stabbing me on the other end.
Your best bet would be to return to the surgeon who performed the reduction surgery and discuss your concerns with him or her. Until you know for sure whether the poking is from a foreign object (i.e. needle, surgical tool, etc), there is no way to know whether medical malpractice has occurred. Once you find out the cause of the discomfort/poking, if you wish to discuss a malpractice claim, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to discuss with you.
Best of luck.
