First of all let me make it clear that this answer in no way creates a lawyer/client relationship. You claim that your old dentist commited an act or omission that caused you damage. You may be correct, but that is only part of the problem. In S.C., where I practice medicine and law, you would need an expert's affidavit that you have a case of dental malpractice. In S.C. you would be required to mediate for 120 days should you pass that initial hurdle. Your attorney and you would need to show damages. As there are time limitations on bringing a malpractice case, I would advise you to obtain counsel immediately.
