I was taken by ambulance to Florida Memorial Hospital ER having back to back seizures. I am a seizure patient. Also have other medical conditions. Upon arriving at hospital I was taken to a room a nurse and a PA came in the room to exam me. They were looking at my arms and legs for some reason not sure why. I am on blood thinner I had been to my hematologist a few days earlier and had my blood draw and I had to be stuck a few times because I am a hard stick. The PA keep asking me what's this? I didn't know what she was talking about. I said it's from where I had my INR drawn she just throw my arm down and said when said you are not having seizures you are faking I don't have time for this and left the room. Later came back told me I needed to give a urine sample. I continue to have seizures. She seems to be upset when she came in the room and I didn't understand. I was frighten. I was told I there for drugs then I asked to be discharged.
You were flagged as being there for drug seeking behavior likely based upon your presentation, history or the statewide drug database information.Typically, the story about an INR venous draw to explain needle sticks in your arm (track marks) is red flag as that typically only happens in a lab environment with point of care testing being done with a finger prick test. If you are having seizures, you need to address this with your primary care physician.
