I was wondering if I have a malpractice case

More details to this question:
I broke my foot, and tore the tendon. I went to an Orth Surgeon who was to repair the tendon and remove the bone. My foot never got better, still lots of pain and it curved in. After repeated time of telling my dr something was wrong, I changed doctors. My new doctor found the bone fragment still in my foot and no apparent sign of any tendon repair. I had to have another surgery to repair it. My new doctor stated it looked like the inside of my foot went through a meat grinder, and was a total mess. I lost some of my tendon in the repair, and will never have full range of motion of my foot, and will have long term damage. What shoudl ahve only taken 3 to 6 months to heal has turned into over a year, with not being able to work, or walk.

It sounds like you have a case that is worth investigating. An attorney will have to look at the records and perhaps have all xrays reviewed before he is in a position to tell you whether the case is viable.  If you want to investigate a malpractice case, you should contact a local medical malpractice attorney (one in your state).  They take these cases on a contingency basis which means you only have to pay if you succeed.  Additionally, initial consultations are usually free. You can use the "Find a Lawyer" service through this website to research medical malpractice attorneys.  Then, visit each attorney's website and look for a firm that has a record of successful verdicts.  Below are some articles you may find helpful.  They are written for a New Jersey audience (where I practice) but the ideas discussed in these articles usually apply in most other jurisdictions as well. I will do nothing further to protect or preserve your interests in the absence of any additional discussion with you about this matter. John Ratkowitz, Esq.
