My name is Angelo Civitillo. I have been suffering from joint and muscle pain for the past five years. My rheumatologist had diagnosed me with poly myalgia Romantica. I was recommended to see pain management doctor. On my very first visit he said that I had chronic pain syndrome. My primary physician had forwarded all my medical records to him. He proceeded to prescribe pain medication, called tramadol. As I have been on different medications for years , I am always sure to make sure there is no drug interaction. He assured me no problem. Subsequently I have gone to neurologist as I started having major tremors and excruciating pain. He diagnosed me almost immediately with serotonin syndrome caused by the interaction between the pain reliever and the anti-depressant I have been on for years When I finally got in touch with him he told me I should have stopped taking the pain reliever as soon as the symptoms started and got worse.
