I'm considering a malpractice case, if I have one

More details to this question:
Visited an ER due to back pain (prolapsed disc in T-spine) & concerns because I'd been in a minor traffic accident that day. Asked for urine specimen & when I asked why, I was told they were checking for blood in the urine. They were running a toxicology screen & I hadn't been apprised of that, and felt disturbed that they hadn't been forthcoming. I'd have agreed but the dishonesty felt insulting & I couldn't fathom the rationale to be honest. I had a disc with my MRI results from previous night with me btw & offered them. Anyway, I was discharged home with comfort meds. Anyway, this was a Thurs, I worked the weekend & didn't quite feel right. Tues a.m my PCP calls to ask what antibiotic they'd put me on, which was none. She called in Cipro, I picked it up, took first dose & about an hr later called PCP to advise I was feeling worse. Ended up in ER, hospitalized for 4 days, blood counts dropped, liver enzymes up, I had a pyelonephritis by this point. Out of work 2 wks. I had residual

Its is negligence not to advise a patient of a significant finding in a lab study. The problem with a malpractice case is that it is probably not financially viable. The articles below discuss this.
