QUESTION

Legal help to obain/correct medical records

Asked on Feb 10th, 2014 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
Dear Sir/Madam, I am in search of legal help to obtain and have corrected/make amendments in medical records. I have requested my medical records with HIPAA-release form however, have only received part of my records. This part contains false entries (the surgeon performing surgery was not listed as the surgeon, since he had a delinquent license at that time). This concerns a surgeon who was in a physical relationship with the patient. All in all, it has been impossible to obtain medical records, and request amendments to be made etc. Is there any way to get legal help to obtain medical records and request amendments to be made - it appears legal help is only obtainable if it concerns injury as a result of surgery. Thank you very much. Best regards,

Getting records will be easier than having them altered. In both instances, however, you will likely need to retain an attorney at an hourly rate/retainer. If you are looking to hire a lawyer you can call our office at 813-877-6442 to arrange for a FREE in office consultation.
