QUESTION

malpractice

Asked on Mar 19th, 2018 on Medical Malpractice - Tennessee
More details to this question:
In 2015 i had ex rays done on my back from a previous surgery called spinal fusion. When they put the rod in my spine, The top screw was bent, and the surgeon said it would be ok, and that i could live my life as usual, but it didn't turn out that way. I stayed in chronic pain. I asked my pain Dr. many times to get the ex rays and the ex ray reports but the surgeon never sent them. About 5 months ago i finally got the ex rays on CD, and they were reluctant to give them to me. Turns out the top of the rod had busted out side ways from my vertebrae. I have the CD with the ex rays to prove it. This also caused me to be under medicated because of the lack of reports being sent to my pain Dr. Now i am in critical pain , and hoping i don't need to get another surgery, because i am a care giver for my dad. I cannot work because of this pain, and my dad lives on his social security, and i am getting food stamps to help. What can i do?

Sorry, I wish that I could give you some sound advice but a medical malpractice action is a mixture of medicine and law. I know the law portion but not the medical issue. You will need to speak with an attorney in your area.
