More details to this question:
My father is in the hospital and is being given two blood pressure medications for high blood pressure as well as blood thinners and diuretics. He went to the bathroom, got up to wash his hands, passed out, and hit his head causing what they say is a mini stroke. He has no obvious damage from it but they can tell he has/d bleeding in his brain from a ct scan. Is this the doctor''s fault for not monitoring his blood pressure properly?

The doctors and hospital employees have a duty to assess a patient's fall risk, including risks that are caused by medications and their side effects. If your father was at a high risk for falls, and was not appropriately monitored, he may have a claim for the injuries that he suffered in the fall. You should contact an attorney in Indiana that specializes in medical malpractice work. He or she will need to gather the medical records and have them reviewed by a nurse and/or a physician who is familiar with the treatment of patients under this or a similar circumstance. The claim needs to be filed within two years of the date of the alleged act of malpractice in Indiana or it will be barred by the statute of limitations. Good luck.

I'm really sorry to hear about your father's fall. The short answer to your question is maybe. In order for someone to evaluate your father's potential claims, they will need to see his hospital records. Those records won't be complete until after your father is discharged (if he is still in the hospital). I suggest that you contact a lawyer who specializes in medical malpractice cases and talk to them about these potential claims.
I hope your father makes a good recovery. Best of luck with the case.
