QUESTION

manipulation under anesthesia (MUA) malpractice

Asked on Aug 13th, 2020 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
Quick points: Torn rotator cuff damage done by a doctor during the MUA. Had a Biceps tenodesis in October because of car crash: Was diagnosed with frozen shoulder 8 weeks after surgery: Had an MUA done and ended up have two new rotator cuff tears from the MUA: Had to have another surgery by different doctor to fix all the damage from MUA. The doctor that did my last surgery is on written recorded saying rotator cuff tears from the MUA. He also said no signs of arthritis in the shoulder meaning, very health shoulder meaning, the damage was caused by the MUA. Problems: Having a very hard time finding a Law Firm to help, most don't wont to help. I've lost lots of time from work; used to travel for work, can't so lost lots of money; Had to pay for new surgery; Had to pay for Physical Therapy; All my transportation; The over all stress, lost of sleep, and the physical PAIN sucks; all this for something I did not do. Is there a case here? Why so hard to find Lawyer in FL

I am sorry to hear about the ordeal through which you have suffered. The answer to your question can only be sought by request and review of your medical records to determine if the standard of care was breached by the physician that performed the MUA, and what is the magnitude of damage you will be left with if that breach directly caused you serious permanent injuries separate from the already damaged shoulder. Consequently, if you are interested in consulting with one of us, you will have to reach out, as attorneys are unable to directly solicit on this forum. Do not delay, as the Statute of Limitation in general (there are exceptions) for bringing a Medical Malpractice lawsuit can run as early as 2 years from the date of the medical error(s).
