Hi, In Dec 2019, I had a tooth abscess and an emergency extraction. The dentist did not prescribe an antibiotic. I was very sick with this infection and was admitted to the hospital. After lots of bloodwork, CT scans, and MRIs, it was determined that the infection had spread from the site of the abscess up my right lower jawbone past the temple to the bone above my right eye. At the temple, the infection entered my brain. I spent five or six days in the hospital. I do not remember the majority of that time and, I was told by the nurses, doctors, and my family that I was exhibiting very delusional behavior. Eight months later, there are two lasting results: 1) cognitive functional difficulties - forgetfulness, word find difficulties, word order reversal, to name a few, and 2) numbness and pain in my lower jaw, lower lip, and chin (all on the right side where the infection had been); this causes me to have trouble speaking, eating, and drinking. Can you help?
