Had carpal tunnel surgery. Thereafter I had an xray of my hand due to an injury to my finger. The dr at hospital asked if i had shrapnel in my hand as it appeared on the xray. I thereafter secured the xray and it was confirmed by my primary physician and a hand surgeon that a part of the instrument used to perform the carpal tunnel survey was in my hand. I am now told by the hand surgeon that it should be removed. Should i consider a suit against the doctor who did the carpal tunnel surgery? The hand specialist is the doctor who will be removing the portion of the scalpel that is in my hand. My hand has not improved since the surgery, but seems to have lost more feeling and i am beginning to experience pain.
