My brother died 4 days after surg

More details to this question:
My brother had surg on a vein in his leg. the surg,was successful, on the 4th day after being in ICU,Surgeon said doing great put you in reg,room.That nite around 11:pm.they called said my brother fell out of bed and bleed to death. Or, the Dr. called it Bleed out. Do we have a cause. We need to have an understainding of this. He was told by Dr. he was doing so well,and put him in his own room He was set to go home in 4 days. The bleed out was a Stent,put in his neck for the Surg. Please help us!!

Obviously, with this kind of shocking and unexpected outcome there is reason to investigate a medical malpractice case.  Hospitals are required to have strict protocols in place to avoid patient falls.
