QUESTION
Previous Dr. employer withholding my records
Asked on Oct 13th, 2014 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
I worked 6 years without health insurance, lunch breaks and in an office that clearly violates OSHA regulations. I decided to leave for another job. I gave ample notice. The Dr. Took my leaving very personal, I was removed from the practice as well as my husband and mother. And now he won't release my medical records to another doctor or myself. Help. The discharge letters were sent to an old address, and I requested 2 weeks ago they be sent to the correct address, I only learned this because I was called 1 hour before my appointment to be advised I was no longer a patient. I was the patient of the associate doctor. This is interfering with my being able to get accepted by a new doctor, continued care, and obtaining maintenance medications.
