QUESTION

Problems after cataract surgery,

Asked on Oct 12th, 2016 on Medical Malpractice - Tennessee
More details to this question:
I had laser cataract surgery and it resulted with blurred vision in my right eye. My doctor say I have a macular pucker. Which is scar tissue that has formed on the eye's macula, located in the center of the light-sensitive tissue called the retina. The macula provides the sharp, central vision we need for reading, driving, and seeing fine detail. A macular pucker can cause blurred and distorted central vision. the doctor said it was there prior to surgery. How come no eye doctor not even him had mention this to me in the past. I have been going to this optometrist for 10 years prior to my cataract surgery and not one word of the pucker. I could see perfectly prior to the surgery and now I need a stronger prescription eyewear.
