QUESTION

Scarred burns during surgery.

Asked on May 16th, 2016 on Medical Malpractice - Florida
More details to this question:
I had a surgery to fix my hyper hydrosis. I was fully put under, two incisions were made so that my doctor could go in and cauterize my nerves to stop the excessive sweating. I think we came to the conclusion that it wasn't my surgeons fault but I was severely burned outside my body. They said something about the equipment being refurbished. That the company that made the scope used old parts and that why I was accidentally burned. It took three months of pain until my third degree buns healed. Now I'm left with knotted scar the size of a nickel on my chest. If I were to open a case, whats the estimate I would get for a settlement and would my doctor be targeted? I genuinely don't believe it was his fault and nor do I want to see him get hurt.
