Therapist refuses to give medical records.

More details to this question:
There is a therapist that refuses to give her former client her medical records. The therapist told her former client the only way she can have access to her files is to go through her lawyer. To my understanding the client has the right to have her medical records. I'm trying to find a lawyer that works pro bono that can help in this situation. I was wonder you someone can help me.

A health care provider has 30 days from the date of your request to provide you with your medical records. File a complaint against the therapist with the Board of physical therapy.
