QUESTION

Walgreens gave my 5 month old the wrong medication

More details to this question:
My son was given an anti fungal instead of the prescribed antacid. It was unknowingly given to him for 3 weeks before the mistake was caught. The dr said lab work would need to be done to make sure no damage was done to his kidney or liver. I cried when i was told that the blood needed to be drawn from his vein. The dr had us come in the very next day. My father and husband had to hold my poor son as he’s creamed and cried in fear and pain. I was hysterically crying for him. The nurse was not able to get the blood from his vein and had to try it again through his hand. We were all traumatized. Luckily the results came back normal but the pain and suffering we experienced that day should not have happened. It wouldn’t happened if he was given the correct medication. Is this a case?

Sorry - but the "pain and suffering" you described is hystrionics. Thew doctor drew blood, not removed an organ. You will need to mature as a parent and these type of issues are simply part of that process.
