QUESTION

What should be my next step?

Asked on Apr 04th, 2016 on Medical Malpractice - Virginia
More details to this question:
15,600 dollars paid out, 27 teeth pulled at one time, 8 implants put in immediately after, 4 implants fall out and put in wrong, 2 set of dentures that don't fit, 2 dentists that don't want to fix it, over 3 years without teeth, and still I have a ton of pain in my mouth. The implants are not placed right and the dentist doesn't want to fix it. What should I do now? I have filed a complaint with the board of dentistry, but should I start the search for a malpractice lawyer?

Update Your Profile
There is not sufficient information to determine if you have a claim for malpractice until your records can be reviewed by a qualified expert. Perhaps you have already sought an opinion from another dentist or oral surgeon. If not, a malpractice attorney can assist you but the first step is to collect all of your dental records for the expert to review. Keep in mind that the statute of limitations will run on your claim after two years from the date of injury and you will be unable to pursue a recovery after that.
