Fell on 12/5/2021. Went to New Britain Hospital, dx. with an acute abruption of the le tibia plate involving the tendon F/U with orthopedic. 12/8/2021 Saw orthopedic at middle state. Informed him I believed I had a DVT in the my left lower calf. He said, "no problem it is below the injury". (I am 74 years old, female and have been an ER and Forensic BSN RN for around 30 years. My daughter was with me, and she is a paramedic. I said that maybe a dopple or ultra sound should be done he said no. That was 3:30PM. At 11:30 PM I woke with chest pain, called 911, transported to St. Mary's hospital. Argued with paramedics, they claimed I was having a semi and they informed MD of such MD had already ordered cardiac enzymes, I told him to order a Ddimer. 20 minutes later I was having a scan, I had a PE. Three days at Saint Mary's Hospital on IV Heparin. Released Friday, returned on Sunday with a horrific headache. Not a bleed, but Covid. Had to be on Elequis for three months.
You have this labeled as a Wrongful Death. I hope thats not the case, otherwise this question must have been sent in by Ouiji board. In any event, you may have a medical malpractice claim. However, you need to get a second oppinion from a substantially similar doctor in the same field as the doctor you believe opperated outside the normal standard of care.
