In 2008, I had an accident with my Jeep Liberty. It was a head on accident and the airbags never deployed. I did not persue anything back then because I felt there was not much of a case. But I got in the mail about a recall on Jeeps with airbag problems. I was wondering if there is anyway a case can be opened now? I have permenent injuries from that accident. I also have pictures of the Jeep, X-Rays, and Medical info from the accident. Can a case be opened this many years after.
There is currently a class action suit regarding Jeep airbags that involves something different. http://www.classaction.org/blog/over-900000-jeeps-recalled-for-inadvertent-airbag-deployment--1-56512.html
Go to this link and review it. It is a class action for Jeep owners whose airbags deployed for no reason while they were driving. It led to a recall of hundreds of thousands of Jeeps. you may be entitled to compensation if the airbag was defective, and the Statute of Limitations would not apply if you were just notified of this issue. Even though it seems that the airbag issue was something different than what happened to you, one of the existing class action suits may cover your issue.
