QUESTION

accident

Asked on May 15th, 2013 on Automobile Accidents - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I was in an auto accident. I lost the case but it was agreed upon before the tial that I would be paid for lost wages, win or lose. The trial was over on 04/05/2013. I have yet to see a check. I tried contacting my lawyer four times but he will not return my calls. I was going to write a letter to the judge in my case. Do you have any better suggestions? Thank You

Although it may seem like a long time, it takes a lot to resolve a case and waiting form APril 5th is not too long.  The judge will not speak to you and cannot consider a letter.  Write to the attorney instead, and copy the attorney on the other side.  Ask when you will receive your money.  If you don't get a response by June, then you can contact the Office of Attorney Ethics and they can help you.
