More details to this question:
My boyfriend rented a car for me and I wrecked it while under the influence, we had insurance from the rental company but they said since I was under the influence it would not cover it. So now I am getting sued. Can they do that? I wasn't even the one who rented the car.

If you were the driver, and were under the influence of alcohol, and you caused an accident, you are definitely responsible for any injuries or property damage that you may have caused.
